the refs are biased when he fights. he should be disqualified. he looked vulnerable a couple of times when pulev went on the attack with his right hand. i could see a faster fighter giving him problems

I don't understand why people bring this up now, he was relatively mild last fight with the hugging, just seems strange to bring this up after a fight in which there wasn't much hugging.

Wlad does'nt hug much in a lot of fights, and sometimes the hugging is only as a direct result of his opponents tactics eg povetkin rushing in with his head low

its brought up as its the only thing left to discredit his victories

 

he didn't hug excessivly in this fight

also if you have ever boxed someone a lot shorter than you that continously rushes in with there head low, you wil realise that you have to tie him up a lot of the time

 

He clinchs about ten time a round and those are long clinchs. Pretty damn unwatchable in my opinion.

Nah, this time it wasn't a hug fest the way the povetkin fight had been, it was a pretty entertaining match even, I thought, with a lot of action. With tall heavy men like these you ll always have a bit of clinching when they collide, Lewis matches were full of hugging I believe to remember.


What can be said Wlad should be using his jab much more often, seems he doesn't focus on his jab to keep the man at bey quite as much as in the past.
