Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko had finished training for the day about two weeks ago but instead of spending his free time that evening relaxing at his camp high in the Austrian mountains, he instead broke out a video of one of his past fights to study it yet again.

He has seen that video many, many times and he never wants to forget it. He wants to remember every single detail. But it's not even really necessary for him to watch it anymore, because it is all seared into his memory forever.

Good article. Wlad is a great example for perseverance and dedication. Not just in sports, but in life in general.

I have to take exception with the comment

"He wasnt really hurt" in the Brewster fight. Brewster landed BOMBS at the end of that 5TH

wasnt there an investigation because of this fight. Wlad looked positively drugged by the end of the 4th.

Ever hear anything come out of it?

If he really felt he was drugged, he wouldnt constantly look back at the fight for motivation

That was what I was thinking too. It clearly seems he himself doesn't believe he was drugged but just gassed.
It happend to him twice, and never again after the first Brewster fight.

Think it's very refreshing how he looks at that loss.

He was completely exhausted just punched himself out and didn't pace himself. Didn't learn how to do that until a couple years later

Why wasn't Brewster exhausted? He was the one doing all the work, on top of being punched in the face.

Brewster beat him down. Accept it. Wlad has.

The only reason Wlad gassed a bit was because he wasn't allowed to do his usual huggybear routine and was forced to actually box for most of the round.. the ref got on him straight away.

Wlad looked like an utterly exhausted fighter when the fight was stopped, not a hurt one.... Doesn't take a genius to notice that.

That was BS spread by Klitschko's US attourney, there never was any basis to it. When Wlad saw the backlash his lawyer generated he quickly reigned him in and accepted the loss for what it was: He gassed out and got the living **** knocked out of him. He's a better athlete today for admitting his mistakes.

I can't prove anything but boxing is a crooked business, Anyway, it wasnt like the puritty fight at all, where he was desperate to ko the man in front of his home crowd in Kiev and punched himself out at the end of a long fight. Something was fishy here. I don't have a problem with the sanders and puritty losses, cos they re explicable, the brewster case looked somewhat different.

Good he went on to avenge the loss. The fight and how it ended is still a mystery to me.

Because he wasn't allowed rest on Brewster's back every 10 seconds.

Getting tired is no excuse for a professional fighter.

Brewster ran the gas out of him. Just like waiting for somebody to tire is a legit way of winning.

I suppose Ali didn't really beat Foreman because Foreman was exhausted when he was stopped , yeah?:patsch
