Don't count on it a fight a month without a promoter is very difficult. The reason, a promoter doesn't see an upside for himself unless you sign promotionally with him and even then a fight a month cant be promised even if you were with a major promoter.

 

All the guys I work with are signed to a major, Top Rank is my choice. If you are a beginner, maybe 5 to 6 fights. A boxer unless he is an Olympian doesn't make a lot beginning his career until he gets into 10rd fights.
It depends on the fighter, if he is a ticket seller, or a very good fighter.

El Paso, is not the best place, cos they have few pro shows and I can only think of three pro's in EP, David Rodriguez, Antonio Escalante and Abie Han.
DFW, Houston, San Antonio and the Valley have more action. The way it works talent-wise is by word of mouth. Let's say someone is looking good in sparring, or knocking out guys, word gets around. If you can tell me something about yourself in a PM, how much amateur experience you might have. Your age, weight and height.
I know people in EP, my guy Alex Saucedo, fought there a few years ago, on the Julio Cesar Chavez jr vs Andy Lee show. I was thinking of fighting him in EP cos he is from Chih., but I was told not to cos there was no fanbase.
