Even eddie hearn knows that there is no getting out of the fact that last night was a complete waste of time. His face after the fight said it all, not one decent fight on the whole card and the main event was probably one of the worst fights I have ever watched, last three rounds looked like 2 ****ed up blokes trying to fight, embarrassing I knew they were both average but they looked so unfit and uninterested to be honest.

Luckily for us i think it will be a while before he dares to do another ppv

" if it fills the millennium stadium I will fight again"

Probably the most deluded statement I have ever heard doesn't it hold 60,000 lol

Most big football grounds have got corporate areas they hire out for the day. The Millennium's bound to have a room that holds about 200; they'd sell that out no problem.

This card could have serious repurcussions for matchroom..I would expert urgent meetings to be taking place with sky bosses and the Hearns after last nights mess and I would be astonished if PPVs are going to be authorised for anything other then genuine mega cross over fights.

I'm pretty certain the only trump card Hearn had to negiotiate with Mcguigan
for Frampton-Quigg was sky PPV..if sky don't auth he is fuked as Hearn cannot generate enough money to Make it happen without it.

What about Brooks return? I'm sure Eddie was planning to make him PPV all the way but can that wash now without it being a mega name in the opposite corner?

I think there are interesting times ahead.

I think that Sky/Matchroom run two PPV shows a year for the foreseeable future but with only the big names headlining in meaningful fights. In theory Matchroom have the fighters to do this.

Interesting times ahead with the decent Boxnation card next week and with Channel Five now buying overseas content. Hearn knows he needs to up his game.

The event was poor by all accounts, but were the PPV sales? If it did decent numbers, Sky and Matchroom will be pretty pleased with themselves I would imagine.

If PPV sales were poor, I think you're right - some questions need to be asked so this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

True sales are a big factor and whilst I made the stupid decision to contribute towards the numbers hopefully they are low.
The only other thing I would say though is the Haye-Harrison farce did massive numbers but it got such a backlash it contributed towards sky s****ping PPV until recently.

    bang on

Froch is the only genuine PPV fighter on Hearns books....As much as he wants to big up his fighters they just are not superstars..

ill pay for Froch and probably AJ in future when in title fights but no way will i fall for another bum fight

Good point re haye-Harrison. Saying that was the backlash because the main event was only a couple of rounds in which Audley failed to throw a meaningful punch?

I suppose at least there was quantity last night, just not much quality

Ppv will still be hear. Froch won't fight again unless its ppv. But maybe he will fight Chavez in Vegas and will be ppv in america but will be regular sky over hear cause its on so late. But brook khan next year will 100% be ppv. And ya never know they could even put frampton quigg on the undercard just to make people forget about the farce of last nights ppv. But I don't think anyone could complain about that being ppv. Maybe even could be at wembly

80K at the Millennium Stadium for Bellew vs Cleverly III:lol:

As the saying goes, if Bellew and Cleverly were fighting in my back garden I would draw the curtains.
