The answer is they are getting older. They both use PED's, as does every world class athlete these days.

“No excuses. Manny knocked Algieri down six times in one fight. That’s twice as many knockdowns as Mayweather has had in all his fights in the last 12 years,” he taunted.
“All they have to do to is pick up the telephone. I’ll be at the phone. Manny will be at his phone,” added Arum.

I like how everyone is talking like losing to one of the top boxers this generation like Juan Manuel Marquez immediately makes you inferior. Marquez followed pacquiao through 3 weight divisons and worked almost 10 years on perfecting his style, strength and timing through out their 4 wars in order to capitalize a win over pacquiao. Respect That those 4 top level wars happened.

I find the lack of answers funny here, because I have even hear this **** repeated by some highly respected *****'s in magazines and TV interviews yet when you reverse the logic yu can see how backward it is to say that.

The fact i with Manny the Rios and Mosely fights could have been stopped, the Margarito and Algieri fights should have been stopped and he also hurt Bradley and Marquez.

He still has a lot of pop.

Somebody needs put detamour in a mental facility. This guy can't help but go insane after watching the Pac/Algieri fight.

His love for Floyd's ***** effectively made him a risk to the safety of civilians after watching that fight.

    Exactly!

There are fighters that can move and make another chase, all completely is a fighter like Marquez who with just a tenth of the movement of Algieri, can find the counterpunch creece and deliver with authority.

*******s can cry all they want about Angel Heredia and KTFO6, but as you stated, Marquez has been delivering that right hand counter over Pacquiao's left in each of the 4 fights and everytime it lands to the effect of disrupting Pacquiao's rhythm and making him hesitant to unleach the type of offense that he's accumtomed to against lesser opposition.

I personally don't think that Manny can beat Floyd Mayweather and I don't think that Floyd is the only fighter that can beat Manny. Manny is not fighting any real competition in my eyes. ( exception Bradley) That second Bradley fight wasn't no picnic for Pac. You take Bradley and multiply him by three and you get Floyd. I think that Maidana and Thurman has a real good shot at beating Pac and you know what, I think Porter does too. Algieri is a baby at this boxing and he really didn't know what he was getting himself into. Lack of ring IQ was his downfall. All in all, those showtime and Al Haymon welters ain't no joke.

Watch round 6 here with no sound, exellent HD video, and tell me you think Pacquiao is in control of this round right before Marquez leads Pacquiao onto his right fist!
    Here's a link to that.......

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7pwZ4njcw0

Had Pacquiao gotten up, every official judge would have Marquez up by one point.

*******s really have a problem, Pacquiao has a big round 5 and off of that they're oblivious and put blinders to the fact that the fight from the beggining was seesawing and again after the 1st minute of round 6, Marquez starts to land hard with counters and is turning back the fight in his favor right when Pacquiao runs into Marquez right fist.

Manny still looks really good and deserves to be recognized as one of the top 3 fighters currently pound for pound, you can even make a case for him at #2 due to wards inactivity. But I don't give manny much of a chance against Floyd.

I forgot how susceptible manny is to the counter right, especially a pull lead or overhand counter. I think its a bad matchup stylistically for pacman for many reasons.

He'd be the naturally smaller man in the ring compared to Floyd and mayweather would be carrying a 5 inch reach advantage. He'd also be in there with the best counterpuncher in the game. Manny fights more off instinct wheras mayweather is the ultimate cerebral fighter.

That being said, I think manny will touch up Floyd here and there and give him a good fight but I can't imagine him winning. Floyds style is all wrong for pacquiao.
