Maidana's experience with proven commodity world class fighters is leagues ahead of Provodnikov's.

    PAC's notable fights and wins-
Barrera x 2, Diaz, Rios, Morales x 3, JMM x 4, Mosley, De La Hoya, Cotto, Clottey, Hatton, Margarito, Bradley x 2

Floyd notable fights and wins -
Corrales, Gatti, Baldomir, De La Hoya, JMM, Mosley, Maidana x 2, Castillo, Cotto, Judah, Hatton, Guerrero, Ortiz, Alvarez

Take away the same fighters they fought (DLH, Mosley, Cotto and JMM), see the comparison:

Barrera, Morales, Diaz vs Castillo, Corrales, Gatti

Margarito, Bradley, Clottey, Rios vs Guerrero, Ortiz, Baldomir, Judah, Alvarez

Come to think of it, who fights Barrera 2x, Morales 3x, JMM 4x and Bradley 2x = with most of them in their primes

Only fight I give PBF credit on was DLH

    :bbb

Yeah, take away all of Pacquiao's losses and weak performances and take away Genaro Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Carlos Hernandez, and Angel Manfredy and you're right, Pack then has the advantage.

Maidana's win over Broner is still highly overrated to this day. What has Broner done above 140? NOTHING.

Before he fought Broner, Maidana fought Karass (gatekeeper), Lopez (got rocked badly in that fight) and some nobody. Before that, he got a schooling from Alexander.

Maidana matches up well against Floyd because Floyd shells up like Broner. Against a guy who isn't going to shell up, he got schooled badly.

Don't give me the Garcia nonsense. Maidana isn't that good. Maidana vs Algeri is a 50/50 fight.

You rate Margarito, Rios, and Diaz over Ledwaba and Sasakul??? You don't know what you are talking about.

You rate Ortiz over Maidana and each of the 4 130 pounders I listed above? See above statement again.

Of the guys who either are, or I expect to be in the Hall of Fame at some point Pacquiao does have more wins than Mayweather.

Pacquiao- Morales (x2), Barrera (x2), Marquez (x2), Cotto, Mosley, De La Hoya, Hatton, Bradley. 11 wins, a draw with Marquez and losses to Marquez, Bradley and Morales.

Mayweather- De La Hoya, Mosley, Cotto, Hatton, Gatti, Marquez, Hernandez. 7 wins

Add in all the weight classes Pacquiao has won titles in, I would rate Pacquiao above Mayweather in terms of career accomplishments.

If Maidana's "not that good" then a guy whose best and lone notable win is against someone whose best win is Alvarado must be downright terrible. And if you don't think Maidana's legitimately made huge strides under Garcia then I can only assume you haven't actually watched many of his fights.

I have stopped hoping for this fight. If Floyd don't want it, it will never happen cause he calls the shots. Floyd probably has nightmares about Pac. He don't want none of Pac and never have since the Pac/Cotto fight.

Maidana has improved, and the only real fight I saw Chris is was against Prov... I dunno though. Maidana uses the jab better but he's still slow, and still does tire out if you can last. Chris has proved he has a good chin, good movement, a lot of heart, etc.
Maidana couldn't end Khan (although again he has improved), or a Broner who was out on his feet.. I doubt he can KO Chris. Algeri boxes circles around him while taking the occasional huge shot, maybe gets knocked down once or twice, but similar to the Prov fight IMO.

Put Maidana in with Thurman or Porter and watch him get beat badly. Tell Alexander to give him a rematch and see another schooling.

He looked like **** against Lopez despite getting the KO and Garcia was training him for that fight. The Broner fight didn't show me anything I seen before...Maidana being Maidana and Broner walking on mud with this shell up.

Floyd's weakness has always been pressure fighters. When a fighter with faster hands and better technique punches back against Maidana instead of covering up, he gets school.

Garcia is an overrated trainer. Look at all his fighters this year. Not even a notable victory and a lot of losses.

Pacs win over Bradley is excellent as is Floyds win over Alvarez. Both top PFP fighters and undefeated champions. Pac should never have fought Rios or Algieri especially Algieri he is extremely 1 dimensional. Floyd should never have fought Maidana either, he did have a good win beating Broner but he is not on the level of Floyd.

Ortiz now loses to Rios but not 2-3 years ago. Maidana beats Algieri with ease, probably stops him Guerrero beats him too.

Im the first to admit Broner isnt worth the hype. He fought at 130/135 with a huge weight advantage and overpowered opponents then when 140 was hot he moved up to 147 to cherry pick Malignaggi (and still lost in my eyes)

The Broner win was just satisfying seeing a smug weight cheat get put in his place.

That being said Maidana has improved a lot under Garcia, before that his team was less than sub par and the fact Maidana has improved his jab and range he has also learned to throw punches from strange angles and still generate power into them.

Funny thing is your quick to mention the clinch filled "schooling" against Alexander and have the nerve to call Karass a "gatekeeper" but forget that Karass actually gave Alexander a tough fight and took him the distance when Maidana stopped him midway.

    Mayweather twice
    Broner
    Karass
    Lopez
    Alexander
    Khan
    Morales
    Kotelnik
    Ortiz

there are 10 fights against world class opposition compared to Algieri who survived Provodnikov and got demolished by Pacquiao . . . . im sorry but your argument holds no water

    Yup and vice versa.

May's got a better legacy and will rank ahead in the ATG rankings. He does NOT need Pac to cement his own top 10 ATG legacy!!
