    OH COME ON!

You can't just name who you want to be Light-Heavyweight Champion!!! That's what's bloody wrong with boxing!!!

Joe Calzaghe IS THE LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! It's all linear, and usually The Ring Magazine has it right. He defeated Hopkins, who defeated Tarver, who defeated Johnson, who defeated Tarver who defeated Jones who.... YES! LINEAR!!!

Dawson lost against Johnson... what resume are you talkin' about?..

Adamek was way overrated just like Dawson is. Diaconu will stop him badly.

All Chad Dawson had to do was to throw sharp shots in combinations and run those numbers on a 5'9'' tall stalker with no head movement, no defense, no nothing... And he got stunned in that 10th! 8 rounds to 4? Get outa here!...

Not really a legit argument since Barkley lost to Toney at super middleweight, Barkley's first loss at light heavy after the Hearns fight came against Henry Maske (who later lost to Hill).

There is no dominant figure in the LHW division right now, but if somebody can be called "Champion", that man is Joe Calzaghe. :smoke

Hopkins did not land enough punches,Johnson landed a hell of a lot more than Hopkins did, just that Johnson did not hold and did not fake a foul...I think the margin that Calzage won was larger because of the sweep of the late rds but Johnson had Dawson hurt and came back after every flurrie by Dawson with one of his own.

Barkley was stripped of the title before he fought toney. But that really dont matter the fact remains that he was stripped, according to the people that claim that DM is the rightful champ due to him being stripped is wrong. As I proved because the title was stripped from Iran to start with. That is the point that im making. Beside had Iran still had the belt then nothing in the rules state that the fight between he and Toney couldnt be fighting for both belts seeing that they were both under the limit of both weights. Ray Leonard won both the WBC supermiddleweight and Lightheavyweight titles in his fight with Donny Lalonde.

You see too many people use an argument that fits the point they are making for that situation, then discount it in others.

It has long been the custom that you become lineal champ one of two ways. 1) beat the MAN-Dm didnt do that 2)unify the titles-DM didnt do that. Yet he was still awarded the the titles.

Problem with awarding DM the lineal title in his fight with Hill is that neither man was seen as the MAN at the weight. That was Jones. In fact at the time that DM fought Hill they were ranked 3 and 4 by Ring behind 1. Jones and 2. Griffin who had won the DQ fight with Jones.
