Fury is only a few months older than Joshua, yet he is already light years ahead of Joshua in terms of experience and resume.

 

At the point Tyson Fury is clearly a cut above the rest, and anyone who doesn't realize this is either stupid or a hater.

Anthony Joshua? I'm not even sure Joshua could beat Chisora, he doesn't have the height and skills that Fury has to keep Chisora off of him.

 

Hes certainly not light years ahead. In fact i would bet he wants no part of Joshua in a year or two.

 

To clarify Tyson Fury is not an up and coming prospect, but a contender. I like to distinguish between the 2.
Wilder while a contender in the sense he is fighting for a title, but has not had contender type fights, and his win over Scott is very dubious.
So I'm on the fence as what to call him, lol.

 

How many have become "dominant" world champions as you asked for in your OP? Do you need a history lesson in how many didnt? If so I'll be back in a few hours and will be happy to dig it all up for you. Looking good against nondescript comp doesnt make a fighter special. Instead of trying hype someone why dont you try letting their career unfold first.

I agree that Fury and Wilder are beyond prospect level. I believe Fury is about to challenge for the title, which in my estimation makes him a "contender". Fury has a decent looking resume vs journeymen and Steve Cunningham, whom I consider to be more than a journeyman, although he didn't look like a world-beater vs Cunningham.

Joshua seems to have the most buzz about him and he has only recently been fighting professionally so he fits the "prospect" definition better IMO.

Usyk and Dinu may be unseen sharks lurking below the water if you know what I mean. Usyk might not ever move up to heavyweight but his speed, agility, timing and power could make him a serious problem for anybody Dinu puts his punches together remarkably well for a man his size but his lack of promotional connections and, unless I have him confused with somebody else, Dinu does have a habit of getting in trouble outside the ring.

 

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder can hardly be considered prospects as they are title contenders. Washington and Parker do not impress me at all. Hughie Fury - an average fighter, we'll see what happens when he gets older, but i don't think he'll be something noticeable. Usyk - not a heavyweight and will definetely not become one in 3-4 years to come (he's small for heavyweight and needs time to proof that he's able to clear his division).

Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz are left. Anthony Joshua has my vote as I'm pretty confident he'll become a heavyweight champion and will be dominating the devision after Klitschko retires (it happens as soon as he is past his prime, 2 years maybe). Andy Ruiz is impressive due to his hand speed and power, taking into consideration his shape. If he trains hard and gets better, it may be something interesting. Currently he will be outpointed by any A-level heavyweight. They are not looking for solid opponents for him, so I'm seeing him ending up like Solis.

I don't rate Washington that much as a prospect, he'll get exposed before he gets to the world stage. Martin, and Breazeale have more potential.

Kudryashov definitely has the frame to move up, he's one of the biggest CW's. He looked massive next to Gomez, who's not a small CW himself.

 

Kudryashov has huge power and would be a big puncher at HW too most likely. He isn't the quickest around but he is pretty cagey in there. Everyone talks about the LHW division but to me the Cw top ten looks every bit as solid if not more so.
