not every fight, for example pac didn't have a rematch clause with jmm in their 4th fight.

Maybe. I'm not convinced it will do that well.

I don't see how this fight doesn't do atleast 2.5m buys. Mayweather-Alvarez did 2.2 and this fight is considerably bigger. It's been brewing for years and although everyone wanted to see the fight long ago both fighters are still in very good form atm and it would still be a tremendous win for either fighter. That being said I believe that the fight must happen next or both fighters' will suffer a bigger drop-off in PPV buys.

B!tch move by floyd. He probably wants 99% of total revenue if pac loses and a rematch happens.

i do. if you go on any of floyds social media sites, you will find a constant uninterrupted stream of messages calling him a coward and telling him he needs to fight pac. these are mostly people that dksab, but they know enough to be asking for the fight.
this fight would be the sporting event of the decade. just the number of celebrities that will be attending will make this a must watch for people that dont watch any boxing... ever.
i also factor in the emerging asian market that arum has been cultivating. they know who pac is now, and they know this will be the biggest fight of his career.
most of us knowledgeable boxing fans have become very cynical towards the whole floyd-pac soap opera, but we are just a blip on the market radar. the remaining bag of disposable income is just now getting to know, or care, what this fight means.

Not sure that this would necessarily translate into 2.5 million + buys.

Maybe a lot of people will make it a point to try and watch this fight, but it still doesn't necessarily mean 2.5+ million. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of total casuals who do watch it wind up attending households that would have bought the PPV anyway. I'm not sure they will significantly add to the total. Maybe they will, but I don't share your conviction. I think declining PPV numbers overall the past few years indicate disinterest. Now maybe this could ignite a wave of people looking to see this fight these 2 have been jerking fans around with for 5 years. Again, not convinced.

The Asian market doesn't count towards domestic PPV sales. So it's irrelevant in this discussion.

We'll see. I know if it does happen, that a lot of people will migrate to the place where me and a few of my friends frequently buy big PPV fights. I don't see many of these people buying the fight on their own, especially since on the east coast at least, they start these things way too late as it is, with an apparent trend towards getting later.

Stfu...should be grateful if they fight at all... We been waiting long enough...hell that's two xs for PAC to beat...a trilogy...if PAC can't compete, 1 n done is fine by me if its a clear win...last fight could be cotto/canelo winner or the IBF title holder at 147 in sept... Nice way to go out

Just like with pacquiao marquez 4

both a bit slower, more vulnerable and slower reflexes

will make a more crowd pleasing fight now.

theres no way floyd can avoid pac for 12 rounds. not at this stage

...when Pac is throwing legal punches?

He has a tendency to do that. Shlt, there was one point where Kenny Bayless was actually yelling, "NOOOOOOOOOO" lookin like his eyeb alls were about to pop out and shlt when Maidana was throwin legal shots at Floyd.
