... and naseem beat all of them at some point

he also was lineal champ for some 4 years , and rated as the number 1 in his division for more than 6 .

his resume isn't that great, but let's stop with this " wbo " **** .

They're similar in that each only has one truly great win over a guy they also lost to, but Marquez has like 10 very good wins (Juan Diaz *2, Casamayor, Salido, Barrera, Juarez), Bowe's second best win is probably Larry Donald.

Bowe was an awful 'champion'. He ****ed on our sport numerous times; throwing away the belt was just the icing on the cake. They should never have elected him.

    No but he was eligible.

    His last fight was 2008.

2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 are his requisite five years of full retirement, meaning he could have at the earliest been on the ballot for the class of '14.

Odd that he wasn't even on the ballot in his first eligible year and then not only makes it on but gets in his 2nd. Was the Modern list on the ballot this year just super thin on worthy names?

96 is meaningless, they go by your last actual bout..which is why Holyfield still has to wait a couple of years.

this - people are assuming backwards historical weighting to titles that were worthless back in the 90s. just because wbo are 4th best title today, it don't mean they were worth the same in the 90s. naz, eubank and calzaghe notched up countless subnational defences with them when they were regarded as no more than national belts.

that said, naz and co are not far off hof, trouble is they didn't fulfil, and that's what should exclude them until he adds to his legacy.

Naz didn't just live off the WBO belt, he won all 4 belts and was recognized as the best fw in the world for a good 5 odd years.

    Ray Mancini?

Ive no problem with Naz being in there.

If it wasnt for sanctioning body nonsense, he would have been undisputed champ
