Canelo definitely isn't all that…but i can surely see a scenario where Cotto "quits on his stool"

Cotto has a very hard time with any fighter thats willing to walk him down and deliver some power. Canelo isn't a tremendous puncher but he can definitely rip the body (ask Lara) and has some sneaky power when he goes upstairs (ask Trout and Caveman) I'm not sure cotto doesn't do his little skip routine as he prances around the ring in reverse.

That will signal the end is very near...

Cotto does this thing that always seemed a little dangerous to me.

He gets tagged and then will:

    -lowers his left
-tuck his chin behind his left shoulder
-bring his right hand up in front of his face (like right in front)

This in itself isn't a bad defensive posture but he stays in that position for a solid second or two.

Canelo might not be a super heavy puncher but he does throw in combination and if Cotto has too many of those moments I can see Canelo stealing enough rounds to take a MD.

I have always thought Canelo would win this matchup.

If Cotto wins then he truly has upped his game.

I favor Canelo in a close, but clear, decision in what has the potential to be a fairly rough fight.

I really think Canelos Combos would be a real Problem for Cotto plus Cotto likes to do knee bends i could see Cotto being caught with uppercuts.

But Idk how Canelo will react to being hit with a Left Hook by Cotto

ok Tough one to Call ...
Canelo ..is a stand up , and walk a man down fighter , against Cotto , (bear in mind,he training with Roach now) this tactic could be a problem ..I see the game plan would be movement ..angles ala Mayweather's blueprint. Cotto is disciplined enough to stick to this game plan. This will eventually come down to who has the the more stable /solid gameplan ..Cottos Stamina versus Canelo's temperment . I pick Cotto by Maj decision
