Pure bull****, Mike lost because he fought a guy that came to win and had the skills to do so.

Holyfield is naturally a lighter man than Tyson yet man handled him like a child.

Yes, he did, but he showed great heart in losing which is the point of the thread. And on that particular night, Douglas was more skilled than Tyson was, otherwise Tyson would have won, don't you think?

Don't bother all you'll get is Mike beat Mike, you'd think Tyson was actually punching himself in between rounds if you listened to these nuthuggers!

as a person involved with weightlifters and bodybuilders believe me it is easy to cheat a steroid test! as per his autobiography holyfied had been lifting weights since he was a teenager and this bulked him up to 188lb natural.he teamed up with mr olympia lee haney and suddenly went up to 202lb and then 220lb in a very short time! how? with his fast metabolic rate and boxing training how could he pack and maintain such mass? easy juice!

He was actually 215lbs (7 pounds lighter than Tyson) the night he stopped him. Starting his pro career at age 22 weighing 177 1/2 pounds, he was very much a blown up cruiser and not a naturally big man. A good display of this is his dramatic drop in power when he went up to HW, he went from a 78%KO at cruiser to a paltry 38%KO at hw. Such drops in power are typical when subcruisers start fighting hws.

yes,but he did fight as heavy as 220lb.ALI started as a light heavy too was he a legit heavyweight? he was blown upp because of steroids but his strength was real as he manhandled mike in their fight.

No he didn't go up to 220lb in a very short time, well if you've got the legendary Lee Haney to help you put on lean muscle mass then he had his head screwed on, who else better to aid in that journey. Like I said please show me which TESTS he failed and then I'll take notice.. :hi::hi:

please use your common sense! if you have been lifting weights for many years and you have a very fast metabolism (unlike tyson or marciano) and you peak at 188lb then very quickly you training with the worlds greatest bodybuilder.... you do not need mr olympia to train properly he needed the juice to help build and maintain mass that his body and training would not have allowed to build.

Fighters don't really cut it at that level without exceptional mental attributes.

If you don't think so, then go to your local boxing gym, and give it a go.
