Getting a world title shot

    Am i right in thinking to get a world title shot you must have a top 15 ranking with the chosen governing body whose belt you are fighting for ?

    The reason i ask is Crolla vs Abrill as Crolla has been given the nod to fight Abrill yet he has no listing in there top 15 rankings list , id imagine guys like Derry Matthews must feel a tad p1ssed off with him being in there top 10 and holding a intercontinental strap

    Crolla has the WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title so i'm guessing that has something to do with it mate.

    Yeah i know mate but has no ranking with the WBA tho

    No idea only thing i can think of is that Hearn has spoken to the Wba they have said ok and he has threw loads of ££££ at the champ.

    But yeah i thought you would need to be in the top 10/15/.
