Seems silly of Kevin. Obviously Warren is waiting out for Arthur vs Guzman to happen.

If Guzman wins he will either take on Marquez or Valero in a unification and then move up, so the title will be avalible at the end of the year.

If Arthur wins Warren can straight away make the fight with Mitchell, as massive domestic clash.

These are the current rankings. Obviously Manny is moving up to lightweight so martinez will go number 1 and mitchell number 2. So the title will either be vacant meaning Mitchell will face Martinez for it, or belong to Athur at the end of the year meaning Arthur vs Mitchell.

Jeez he has faced one decent upper domestic level opponent and now he is going to fight for a world title. ****ing crazy. With the time period he will have to wait the European title would be good to go for and not too hard to win.

This once again illustrates that the WBO is still a Warren title & shouldn't be taken seriously.

Yep. Guzman is crap and is no way near a championship quality fighter.

Guzman IS world class but this doesnt detract at all from the fact that historically WBO champions and contenders for that belt have ALWAYS been weak.

IMO Kevin Mitchell has a long way to go before he can be considered for a world title. Carl Johanneson gave him all he could handle and CJ is domestic level.

Thats not what I was saying. Scurla answered your post perfectly so no need to continue this further.

Yep. I totally agree but until we get to a position where we have one belt and one true world champ then we will always get weaker champions, even holding the other belts.

The WBO are particularly bad though just look at their rankings. They are blatently a Warren title. You can say what you want about the other beltholders but they would have to have beaten different people to get that title.

Once again I agrre but just look at the other governing bodies rankings, they are tripe as well.

Not as bad as the WBO though. Anyone that ranks Gary Lockett number one has a serious issue.
