A bit of an unfair question given that Marg is believed to have fought with loaded gloves, so by the definition of "best day" it would be the Marg that fought Cotto.

In that case, Maidana gets stopped before the end of the 8th

There's a video on YouTube with someone who has sparred with Margarito and some other known big punchers and he said that Margarito hit the hardest. Hard to believe Margarito loaded his gloves for sparring.

Why is that so hard to believe? One of Margarito's ex sparring partners said he believed that Margarito used his illegal wraps against him and the wraps discovered in the Mosley fight had blood on them, indicating that they had been used before. If Margarito had so little regard for Cotto that he would use loaded wraps, what makes you think he would show any regard for anyone else?

Saw that. 16 ounce gloves + headgear and Rashad suffered permanent damage? Doesn't that mean that with 8 ounce gloves and loaded wraps, Cotto should have died?
