Yeah, huge step up in class for Huey!!!! I wonder if this is his teams attempt to make him a star. A win of htis calibre would catapult him into the top 20 for certain.:think
He shouldn't be rushed... The occasional step up like this is good for experience, but I think he should float around at the domestic/european level for 2-3 more years before stepping in with world class heavies.
Beating someone like Rudenko would prove he's ready for the rest fo the B level HWs. Of course, Browne couldnt keep Rudenko off him with his size, so I doubt Huey will. He'll have to have that long jab pumping all night and hope to catch Rudenko at the end of his R hand too. Good fight this. Just hope Huey has the tools to deal with a solid pressure fighter like Rudenko. If he does......I would say yeah....couple easy-ish domestic/euro level fights vs the likes of Bahtov, Audley, Sosnowski. Guys with a decent profile to keep Huey relevant and moving N in the ranking while honing his weapons to make a move on the elites. :think I like Huey, but I think Im a Tyson fan first and foremost, but if Huey can make the type of moves Tyson made, but at an earlier age, you gotta like his chances of being a more dominant titlist in the long term.:think
Antonio Tarver won against Johnathon Banks via ko in 7 round.Banks was having heavy ring rust and other troubles.
