As we approach the end of 2014, what has been your Upset of the Year in World Title fights? I accept that 'upset' may not be the right term for some of these fights, but they were all won by boxers who were the betting underdogs. More than likely have left out a few so feel free to suggest others.
I'd go Jermaine taylor, not necessarily because the fight was a big upset, just because at the start of 2014 i didn't think he'd be anywhere near world title level
Novoa Vs Zhong was the CLEAR winner here. Zhong was seen as taking on a cherry picked opponent and was around 1/50 with the UK sports books. To put it into comparison Ioka was viewed as a 1/3 favourite
Good shout, just looked it up there. Have very little (none) knowledge of below 122. Just did a bit of googling to add a few smaller guys. Didn't come across Novoa as he's already lost his title whereas Reunroeng still has his. Cheers:good
