He is about to break Joe Louis title defence record. Why don't you give me a legitimate reason why he wouldn't be an ATG?

won't know until Khan steps up and fights a power puncher. Simple as that. He has been reluctant to for some reason.....:rofl:patsch

So if Khan rematches Garcia and won by a shutout and didn't get tapped on the chin then in your judgement he won't have improved?

Well, Garcia isn't a power puncher for one :lol::lol:

He doesn't even fit the criteria I am talking about. Do you even watch Boxing?

Jesus, whoever then. To show any improvement what criteria must Khan fulfill or does he need to just stand there with his chin in the air and let a Thurman tee-off? If he isn't k.o'ed then that is an improvement for you?

The man has improved a lot under Hunter and if you can't see that, then you don't want to. He don't need to fight a certain type of fighter. I think that Hunter has changed his mental as well as his physical approach to fighting. He is starting to understand and take command of his skills. He knows his weaknesses, his strengths and what he can and what he can't do.

Yes because, atleast against alexander it showed. He now uses his skills to his advantage, he still has the one major flaw though that i don't think will go away. If you punch with amir his chin is wide open.. He is susceptible to being hit with shots he doesn't see because of this. Amirs always looked good against southpaws though, he knows how to fight them clearly.

I think the Hunter thing is way overrated. He's still doing the same 1-2 volume punching he was doing with Roach. Can any one provide a clip of his improved defense or footwork? By improved defense do people mean his constant holding on the inside now?
I guess if you want to give Hunter credit for telling him to hold on for dear life on the inside then go head.
People act as if Khan didn't look amazing at times under Roach...he did.
Also he's fought subpar opponents under Hunter so it's hard to assess

I just watched a replay of the Khan-Alexander match and saw the post fight interview. His new success may be attributable to his maturity as well as Hunter's good coaching. Nothing beats experience. He is now 28 and less inclined to be reactive. As he stated, coach Hunter chewed his ear in between rounds and he resisted all temptation to get into a brawl with his formidable opponent. Because of that he stuck to the fight plan and outclassed him with great hand speed, foot work, and circling which neutralized the jabs.

Hunter getting in his face and reading him the riot act certainly did him well.

I always preferred Khan when he was led by Roach. That being said, Khan and Hunter seem to be gelling quite nicely based on the last two fights. Has he improved - yes, somewhat. Better economy, patient, better defence. There are a few negatives as well. I don't think he's as veristile. Still, you can't really fault the way he dominated Alexander.

He's the same exact guy who fought zab judah. Nothing has changed. He would still get planted by Danny Garcia or any legit puncher.

His two most winnable fights are the fights that will net him the most money - Mayweather and Brook. These two arent big punchers and will not walk him down. The rest of the division certainly will.
