    Bull****!!

The best SM's available in Kessler and Lacy both young and the best LH in Hopkins who was P4P top 4/5 in his home country.

Be like MAyweather fighting Cotto and Margarito then fighting Dzindziruk in Ukraine with Ukrianian ref and judges if he was a 'Legend' and top P4P guy

It's nothing different from what Mayweather does these days. Calzaghe will most likely fight Jones jr. in Wales for 50.000+ people in his farewell fight. If he wins he will than announce his retirement, but keep on training and wait for a mega offer to return to the ring, which is a smart business move.

    Taylor beats Calzaghe....

Pavlik definitely does, if he can walk through Miranda's punches then he certainly can Joe's.

    My guess is Tyson86.

He got badly owned by the outcome of this fight, and signed off 'forever' right afterwards.

spinks definatley can beat calzaghe as welll.

after all he outboxed taylor so calzaghe is not a problem.

since judah ko`d the **** out of spinks he can beat calzaghe as well

since tzsyu beat judah he can beat calzaghe

since hatton beat tzsyu he can beat calzaghe

really when you look at it there is hardly anyone who cannot beat him .

so does that mean you agree with his decision? Its bad enough we don't get to see mayweather-cotto. Almost every elite fighter is doing business now(floyd, pac,ODLH,hatton, now calzaghe?)

That's one of the side-effects of this sport being such a big business proposition for it's megastars (Floyd, Miguel, Pacman), soon-to-be ex-megastars (Calzaghe, Oscar, Shane) and even ex-megastars (BHOP, RJJ).

With those kinds of dollars on the line, sometimes the obvious fights we would like to see get delayed (Calz v BHop; Calz vs RJJ) or skipped altogether (Winky vs Oscar, Kostya vs Floyd or Oscar).

Sometimes the caution leads to extremely boring events (Wlad's last outing, Taylor-Spinks).

There's ducking aplenty. Rarely based on fear for rarely does one fighter fear another, but based on greed. A mistake could ruin marketability and future earnings.

I don't know what the answer is.

Yep He's made an entire career out of padding his record. He's a good fighter but, champions always fight the best and dont make excuses

I would rather see Calzaghe fight Jones then Pavlik.

Calzaghe has proven his class. Any won from now on is icing of a very nice cake.

If he fights RJJ next I dont think he will call it a day - he has called Kelly Pavliks name plenty of times! Kelly would be a good win for joe to go out on.

When you clinch over 180 times, it stops any aggression, especially when the ref winks at ya and lets ya do it...BTW, did you see the punch stats on who threw and landed how many??

Calzaghe has a very under-rated resume. He has beat Eubank, Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins. People forget aswell everytime he looked ready to fight a big name fighter he was either ducked or Joe got injured. Only in his last 5 fights has he though 3 big opponents, and before that he only had 1 big opponent in Eubank which was last centruy. Joe has been ducked throughout his career and people never seem to mention it.
