My argument is thst BN is still massively dependent on one man, chelsea football club actually make a lot of money nowadays and aren't that dependent on their owner as they once were And as for butler, he isn't that well known in his own City, bellew and paul smith are much better known than him and for someone of his talent to be on a largely irrelevant channel when he should be getting a far bigger platform is bad for the sport as a whole and eventually he will get an offer to fight on Sky/bt/terrestrial which will give him that opportunity. Oh and he's a super flyweight now, never has been a super bantamweight
Its not a reasonable comparion IMO..Paul Smith and Bellew fight in fashionable divisions & have fought against other big names - plus there well known in the city for other reasons...Butler as you rightly corrected my error is a super flyweight and has nobody who he can fight that would capture the imagination of non boxing fans. You keep saying BN is bad for the sport but that makes no sense- Butler has already become a World Champion on the station and is lined up for another shot back in his natural division..correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't his shot at Tate for the IBF before the injury cancellation going to take place in his home city? Not bad for somebody unknown in his own parts...he also sold a shed load of tickets when he fought Stuart Hall away from home. Fury in theory is goings get a shot at Wlad Klitscko on BN....Chisora has fought Vitali for the WBC on BN....BJS & Lee are likely to engage in a big, big fight for the world title early next year on BN etc etc etc. Whether you like it, are not bothered or hate the channel it s delivering for the fighters & paying public in a big way
