from what i have read, the WBC ordered AN IMMEDIATE rematch. I dont think Mundine has any other choice but to fight the rematch or risk losing his belt if he does not comply with the orders of the WBC:deal.:deal

He'll probably bin the belt and run like he did when Geale was ordered a rematch, and we all saw what happened when he did fight Geale again :yep

It's only a silver belt, hardly worth getting all upset should they take it off him.

Not only that but the WBC looks pathetic making him rematch for a silver belt, what a farce.

if it is ordered he will drop the belt, K9 is coming out for the cash on offer not a second tier belt

This. If it doesn't put him outside the top 15 in the IBF why would he care.

WBC Silver title is nothing more than interim title, so who gives a ****.
It was invented, so sanction fee was increased & gave their junket boys overseas gig.

This is probably the reason for ordered rematch

    • Scores at end of round 4: 40-36, 37-39, 39-37 = Split Mundine
    • Scores at end of round 8: 76-76, 75-77, 77-75 = Split Draw
A bit later on, I'll post scores in subsequent rounds

    Round 9: 86-85, 85-86, 87-84
    Round 10: 96-94, 94-96, 96-94
    Round 11: 106-103, 103-106, 106-103
    Final: 115-113, 113-115, 116-112

    All split favouring Mundine

I would have a guess and say that would be the reason for the rematch there. I don't think there's anyone outside of the two Australian judges who believes Mundine won the majority of the final four rounds. Also, when the ref missed an apparent knockdown, well I guess there's plenty of scope for a return bout. It was a good fight and I think a rematch would actually be even better.

Mundane won the the last rd no question, even the judge that had him losing the fight had him winning this rd...... However I did have it 2-2 the last 4 tho
