Why does never seem to be granted a voluntary defense

He got one against Yusaf Mack. He didn't fulfill his mandatory obligation against Adonis Stevenson.

Stevenson rejected the chance, citing injury at the time and a rearranged fight with Don George, but anyone who follows boxing over the last couple of years no Stevenson wants nothing to do with The King Of England.

Froch should just vacate it, he will still have the WBA title, and will be promote to Super Champion soon cause Andre Ward's inactive.

It's too do with his spell of inactivity. They requested a postponement of when his mandatory was due once, and they probably won't get it again.

I doubt Hearn would even push for it that being said- if Froch doesn't fight DeGale, he wants that title so he can make Groves-DeGale

I know but being that took place in May, he probably had 90 days to schedule a mando or request a voluntary/ request further time, and that's passed. They''ve probably done that two or three times since so Froch time is up if he wants to keep that belt he will need to fight DeGale.

Chavez has spent a year trying to get away from Arum, seems him and his lawyers almost have enough confidence to sign off on the fight.

Doubt Arum is going tell people that hes close to being kicked out of the Chavez picture for good.

Degale has a much better chance of beating Froch than Chavez does.
