Seem to see little about him on these boards but was talking to someone today who really rates him. I'm aware that he stopped the guy who took Selby's 0, is undefeated and the only loss of Selby's conquerors record. So with Selby appearing to be set for a tilt at a world title soon how far can josh go?

    Thoughts ESB?

That'd be something. I'm gonna try and dig out some of his fights now if possible.

I think he could defo win a world title against the right opponent, ticks a lot of boxes does josh, hes progessing well with each fight he has a great fanbase and he seems to be hitter harder as he gets stepped up in levels, looking forward to his development in 2015

his power is coming and he's been part-time for most of his career with a full time job too, now he's fully professional he'll hopefully have a bit more pop

for somebody who until recently had a ko % of less than 20% he got a massive fanbase,

by not having much ko power, he's probably had around 150 + rounds in his career so far, which has enabled him to learn more than blasting people out in 2 rounds.

he's on the paul smith undercard and will hopefully be tested in leeds in april against a top 10-15 fw to see how good he is / isn't. Gut feeling is he's going to fall short of world title level, but may have a few world title fights, would like him to go all the way though

Is he not fighting Ryan Walsh for his titles?? Josh is excellent and has come a very long way in the last year. Will be a very very hard fight against Ryan. If he comes through that I think he may go all the way. I do think Ryan will beat him though

His got excellent work rate. His beaten 2 unbeaten fighters away from home for english and commonwealth titles. His fan base picked up after the win against samir as leeds football club hav him on the pitch on match days. Matchroom jumped on it and he sold 2500 tickets on a months notice for the lindsay fight for british . Matchroom hav virtually followed selbys path and his matched everything lee did. Then European title. Walsh is mandatory for british but imo tbat fight wont happen. Matchroom will continue to build selby fight towards the world stage.

The atmosphere in Leeds was great in his last fight but keep him away from Selby only one very clear winner

on what basis do you make if he beat Ryan he' ll go all the way? Josh's main attibute is his work rate, certainly doesn't punch has hard as Selby nor will he be anywhere near the size of Selby on fight night

Josh would be a strong fav, Ronnie drew although I thought he won but lost clearly against Evans, remember Walsh is never a SFW that's what he fought Ronnie at, Ronnie would have had all the advantages in size and strength but only managed a draw at the end of the day.
IMO I can't see Ronnie getting a title shot now

It's about being professional an if Walsh can't be bothered to make his own weight then he surrenders advantages. He wasn't keen on return either

Wouldn't be supprised if Ronnie got a shot at Liam (voluntary)
