So then who's watching it? ima casual fan who loves watching badass fights like this. it's gonna be 1 sick action packed fight and a half to watch. Jon Jones (light-heavy weight champion) vs daniel cormier #2 ranked light-heavyweight.

Note: this is one of the best fights in UFC history.

  3. I agree that it may go 55%-60% in favor of Jones... However, I think Cormier is a serious menace, the toughest challenge for the champ - so far. DC is athletic, improved a lot on the stand game and inherited that "push" style what makes Cain so successful in the HW. Just look what he accomplished so far, the last two fights setup all the credentials...
To summarize, if DC is smarter enough he will not allow any space to the champ - for instance, like Machida does. The distance is always favorable to the champ, what always improving round by round in the cage - because he knows hows to read a fight, better than anybody else.
I am strongly rooting for DC for the taste of the competition. Specially because Gustafsson was not likely to be surprising anymore.
    Let's see, looking forward!!

I can't see how Dan is going to get inside Jones' 84 inch reach. Jon is the best in the sport at keeping the distance against smaller opponents. Jon does that outreach where he points his fingers out, effectively stopping small guys from rushing on him unless they want to lose an eye. It takes someone with his same size and reach like Gustafson(who was robbed imo) to trouble Jones.

    Jones 3rd round TKO

For me this is the best fight in MMA for years. Actually, maybe ever. So amped for this one and change my mind on how it will go down every time I think about it.

I think gustafsson presents more of a problem to dc then jones does.

tough call. JJ is awesome in many ways including that reach. However, DC has fought and won when out reached in many if not most of his fights coming down from heavy.

I can see DC crowding JJ enough and over powering JJ for the first time ever. Sure Gus did it a little bit but not in dominating style. I could see DC giving JJ a new degree of difficulty on the ground. Maybe not rag dolling him but smartly controlling JJ until a good position presents itself and then scoring strongly.

I could also see DC taking JJ down and pounding him out and potentially even fairly quick thereby ruining what many are considering the best fight in a long time. Not that JJ couldn't catch DC on the button early as well.

My call is DC by victory of decision or stoppage.
