No doubt I will feel sad like a lot of people will. It will be a big funeral with people signing tributes.

Muhammad is only human but while he'll never beat his illness,he's certainly taking it 15 rounds.

I almost made the thread when he was in hospital with pneumonia but thought the timing was all wrong, for obvious reasons.

We all have our favourites and having met the man a couple of times you do tend to relate to these things more.

End of the day though, we are all here for a limited time and i am just grateful i can look back and say i shook his hand.

It will be a real sad day, especially considering what he meant to the sport of boxing, and a bit beyond. But, in some ways, because of his illness, and how much time has passed since he fought, may not get the respect he deserves, especially from this generation.

Max Schmeling lived to the ripe old age of almost ONE HUNDRED
years old. Amazing, taking the brutal beatings from men such as a prime Max Baer and the greatest combination puncher Joe Louis, as well as becoming a paratrooper for the German Army
in WW2. Der Mox, was one rugged dude...

have to disagree because Diana's death was very unexpected and shocking. She was someone who was in the news on a regular basis and in the tabloids almost on a daily basis. To a certain extent, the tabloids and the Royal family's lack of public acknowledgement fuelled the grief during that bizarre week in September 1997.

Lets ask what he would want?

Without meaning to speak for him, I bet he would tell us not to be sad for him because was gifted a good life.

He might even invite us to try to accomplish something for ourselves, if we were going to give him any tribute at all!

    That is my take!
