What are the chances of this fight happening sometime this year ?

    I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Fan of both, but, Walsh would easily outbox Smith

Both excellent fighters and top guys as well, I'd favour smith though

Very good 50-50 fight. That wont happen due to the promotional issues which is a shame.

Shame, I think it's a 50/50 fight, both are very good fighters and nice guys, they match up brilliantly as well, think their styles would make for a great fight.

Well his chin stood up well to Scott Harrison who is a bigger puncher than Smith. I think this would be a really good fight, with Walsh winning, likely on points as to big and strong for Smith, and at least every bit as skillful.

Do note Moog it has been shown scott carrys nowhere near the same power at 135lbs as he did at 126lbs he should have come back at 130lbs imo

I agree he should have came back at 130 ib, but at 135ib carried more power than Smith at 130ib. If Walsh can go up to lightweight and take the punches, taking them at SFW aint going to effect him as much as long as he is not drained in making weight. How a poster can claim he is chinny i dont know.

In terms of power Appelby has never been a noted banger and had walsh down and rocked twice before gassing out , Scott never made a dent in walsh mate

Walsh and Harrison stood up well to each others power. Look at the boy Mitzei, a few rated British LW's fought him, Scott is only one that stopped him out of them, after having him down 4 times. Scott certainly never had the power at 135 as at 126 agree, but i think that's more about being out of the ring for 6.5 years than anything else. Still had pretty good power at that weight though.
