Don King is a master of excuses. Can't take Stiverne excuse seriously, sorry.

Don King has a history of fabricating facts and making excuses for his fighters. Now King is most likely lying about reasons for the horrific performance by Stiverne.

A little recap of Don King's past lies:

1 Michael Moorer press conference, Moorer pounds the desk and it breaks in two. Don King told the press this shows Moorers incredible physical strength. Later Moorer admitted King approached him to manipulate the desk to fall apart when lightly hit.

2 Press conference after Oliver McCall was DQ/TKO'd by Lewis in the rematch. Instead of admitting McCall had a nervous breakdown and belonged in drug rehab, Don King told the press that the ref should be banned for taking McCall out of the fight; his fighter was simply executing a strategy of confusion and planned to knock out Lewis in the later rounds.

3 Valuev vs. McCline. McCline dislocated and breaks his kneecap during the fight, without a punch landing. Slow motion showed it was a simple freak-misstep. Don King during post-fight interview: Valuev has the hardest punch in the division, he connected a monsterous punch to McClines chin, the force of the blow knocked out McCline's knee.

Feel free to add more Don King lies.

Don King is full of sheet and can't be trusted. There is no reason to believe Stiverne has any sort of dehydration problem. He simply got outboxed by a better, fresher and younger fighter. No need for excuses, it happens all the time.

Tyson didn't lose against Douglas. Mike knocked out Buster in the eighth round.

Don King could care less about excuses and if they're legitimate, all this talk is clearly to score a rematch and continue making $.

I always liked the story about Don King inviting the Klitschko Bros. to his home to discuss signing on with DKP. The story goes that at one point, King sat down at a piano and began playing a piece from Mozart's Don Giovanni. The brothers were curious as to how King had nailed such a difficult composition and decided to have a closer look at which point they noticed that the piano was in fact a 'Player Piano', lol.
