Many times I've been tempted to do a Bezerra thread but I always seem to lose interest midway through contemplating it. He's got the smell of Costa Jr. looks good in Brazil but....he'll lose the moment he steps foot outside of it.
Yeah, It´s true. I forgot. The falcão brothers are very good prospects. I think Esquiva is the better one because his brother Yamaguchi doesn´t fight with same focus right now. There is other very good amateur boxer from Brazil who will become profissional: Everton Lopez, he has a 240-10 record and won gold medal at the pan am games of 2013. He will fight under the banner of Golden Boy Promotions. I think he and esquiva will be very good fighters. Maybe, just maybe...patrick teixeira will be a top fighter too.
The Argentinian scene isn't that bad. You will have some Argentine fighters with pretty records that are Godawful, but you'll find that in any country. They come up with their fair share of useful fighters, say in the top 20-30 in a lot of weight divisions - especially below heavyweight. Sadly, Brazilian boxing has been a wasteland for many years now. The standard of domestic boxing is generally extremely poor and even fighters with better reputations such as Jackson Junior and Michael Oliveira come unstuck quite quickly upon leaving South America. It would be nice to see a top Brazilian boxer again. It's been too long since Freitas.
Btw - does anyone know the result between Bezerra and Geraldo Jr? It wouldn't surprise me if the fight failed to take place.
William Fernando Souza Bezerra beat Curtis Reed via ko 3,in his US debut.Bout tokk place on april 25th Card.
Next,he was scheduled to fight Romildo Dos Santos for South American Cruiserweight title.Looks like Mino has vacated title.
So Bezerra was scheduled to fight for different version of South American Cruiserweight Title.Ruben Anhel Mino holds WPC version.
