Thurman won every single round, dropped Bundu and showed that he can fight on the back foot. Only reason that people were disappointed was that they were expecting a KO. Gavin is supposed to be this master boxer/technician yet even before he got dropped he wasn't winning the rounds as clearly as Thurman was. Thurman would punch holes in Gavin and it wouldn't be competitive. Gavin is a decent fighter but in his last fight, he struggled badly against Skeete and showed that he can't come forward. Silly to suggest that he could hang with Thurman and Bradley at this stage

W.arren was the worst for that, always house fighter vs bum except for very rare occasions

went to one of his shows where there were 14 fights, house fighters won all 14

People going on about the weight just use it to mask over the fact that Gavin is pretty much an average boxer.

Same can be said about Eddie.

His shows are the Boxing equivalent of a Football friendly!

    Good move for the lad.

I actually prefer ****** to Hearn but for Frankie this should have happened a while back. Big step in the right direction for me. Frankie's career was handled pretty poorly by ****** it has to be said.

    That was down to Gavin.

He missed out on a few fights, had excuses for others, took meaningless fights for daft Irish titles and I can't remember a time when he came out and said 'Enough is enough. I've been fighting domestically for nearly 4-5-6 years.'
