alvarado might need an intervention, he is either severely punch drunk or on drugs. i would like to see the post fight drug test results. don't get me wrong rios looked like a beast tonight but who wouldn't have against this version of alvarado?

here on esb we have a bad habit of over hyping fighters after wins like these without putting things into perspective, think pac vs algieri, wilder vs stiverne, cotto vs martinez/rodriguez. add rios vs alvarado to that list.

People have had a level headed response to the fight tonight as far as I can see, which is refreshing. I think most people are aware that Alvarado was in deep coming into this match.

No lets do what people normally do at ESB and discredit a guys win because the opponent didn't come in fully prepared ..Yeah that's not a bad habit around here :patsch

not fully prepared? more like cracked out, the signs were on the wall, did you see his pre fight interviews or sparring sessions? we can't judge rios potential from this fight.

The gift decision over Abril was a brighter moment in Rios' career than Alvarado III.

pac beat up algieri but algieri is not elite. can't gauge pac from that fight.

Just like floyd beat (and struggled) against maidana with a pillow gloves and some help from the referee. We can't judge floyd from that.

Mike's gloves were immense. They were so green. Like a ripe avacado. Mike Avacado aaahaahahah etc.

No, but really, those gloves. Not sure how he could have lost with them to be honest.

This unfortunately is also true. Admittedly I did it for the Cotto/MArtinez fight.

cotto beat a handicapped opponent before that he beat that skeleton c level fighter rodriguez and now everyone thinks cotto is some kind of rejuvenated beast. don't be fooled by these hypes lets see how cotto does against an elite level middleweight.

Yeah, amazing what a punch to the temple can do to a guy like Martinez with a resume full of Alcoholics and Chavez Juniors who only train for 5 days.

Some of you kids are like jealous btches when your flag is not being repped. Cotto was faster and far more skilled than 90% of the people Martinez faced. Keep in mind, PRE plaster Margarito took Martinez out with TWO "good knees..."
