Hughie Fury v Andriy Rudenko will it happen?

I was surprised when this fight was actually made. It is a huge step up for Hughie so I wouldn't be that surprised to see it not happen. Saying that Henessey will want to be seen as putting good cards together so theres a good chance this will stay on the card

 

Yeah absolutely, he is good enough to win the fight but it is a huge risk given all of the circumstances surrounding him right now.

 

Hughie got this. He is the real deal and will only get better now that he is healthy.

 

I too was very surprised to see this fight, and clearly favor Rudenko from what I've seen against Big Daddy Browne (he won that fight imo).

It's a mistery to me how Huggie's the clear favorite in this one. Huge step up in competition, against a guy that should be the undefeated WBA IC beltholder, after a illness layoff, coming off an unimpressive streak against punchbags. Certainly when not fighting on home soil against a guy that he clearly doesn't have the power to stop inside 10.

This comes across as a light version of Cleverly planning to make his CW debut against frickin' Makabu. So I won't be surprised if this one gets pulled as well.

got to hand it to Fury very impressive step up

coming off his recent illness especially. I do believe his illness was holding him back as he looked weak and lethargic .

think Fury beat him easy on points as he has a large size advantage and actually boxes big unlike Browne who likes to brawl and played right into Rudenko's hands

If Fury is a lot stronger now too i could even see him stopping him late, which would be a real statement for a who's not long after turning 20

If he gets an impressive win he definitely becomes top 20 add another good win to that and he will be near top 10

when's the last time the heavyweight division has had a guy 20 years old and near/in the top 10, would be some acheivement

Hope it happens, could be a very hard fight for hughie. If he isn't 100% then cant see the fight happening. But at the moment all seems to be well with him.

 

Browne had a really hard time dealing with Rudenko. I even scored it a draw.
If Hughie steps in, it will not be easy, and if he wins he will take a huge step in the rankings.

 

As said hughie got this. Not seen talent in a Big HW like he has in a long time. More talent and skills than his cousin and AJ. Hopefully his illness is behind him now and we really get to see how good or great he is.
