My dealings are over with them and I don't trust them.

I have friends who were world champions telling me of the shady **** that goes on with the bigger promoters, meaning how they will take as much as they can from you as a fighter.

I figure that you must be a promoter or something with the way you talk? They are snakes, no two ways about it.

And you could bring a whole crew of lawyers, the promoter will still get over on you.

You know I use this blog to educate people. ES you have given me an idea how to further help people. If anybody has a name of a fighter who was taken advantage of I will give you my POV, which you can choose to believe or not that's entirely up to the reader. The major cause of problems in boxing and especially with fighters is the whisperers who get in a fighters ear and tell them that they are underpaid, ripped off and that they should be fighting so and so on HBO or SHOWTIME it usually comes from people who got their info 2nd hand or heard this or that or read it somewhere. I have dealt with every major promoter and have gotten fair market value for my guys but if you haven't had the same experience put it out there and let people comment on it and give their POV. Their are a slew of fighters who are not happy with their deals, Mikey Garcia, Julio Cesar Jr., Rigo who are not happy. with the money they are getting or their situation, Pick one.
GUYS UNDERSTAND THIS YOU AND THE PROMOTERS ARE ADVERSERIES EACH TRYING TO GET THE BEST DEAL FOR THEMSELVES. THAT IS WHAT'S CALLED CAPITALISM, NAME ANY BUSINESS AND YOU WILL FIND THE SAME THING EACH SIDE WILL BE TRYING TO GET THE BEST DEAL SO IF YOU ACCEPT A DEAL AND SIGN IT THEN IT'S ON YOU, SIMPLE AS THAT.

    writing in caps=what?

It's good that you are trying to help people out here, I hope to do the same. But if you send people in to deal with promoters leading them to believe that they are dealing with anything other than snakes than you are misleading them. Ofcourse there are a few exceptions.

It seems that you are trying to sugarcoat what is essentially a down and dirty business.

MAYBE TO EMPHASIZE A POINT OR TO ANSWER YOUR COMMENTS THATS WHY CAPS, NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

It's good that you are trying to help people out here, I hope to do the same. But if you send people in to deal with promoters leading them to believe that they are dealing with anything other than snakes than you are misleading them.

Cos you had a bad experience doesn't mean everybody had the same experience. That's what I am trying to prevent guys from getting burnt you accuse me of being a promoter and that I might be misleading people then you need to read the posts on this thread, I am far from being a promoter. If you know there are snakes in the grass then you should learn how to deal with the snakes.

Ofcourse there are a few exceptions.

It seems that you are trying to sugarcoat what is essentially a down and dirty business.

Maybe you have been hurt or burnt so bad that you wont be able to think straight, I mean to you everything is bad and that there are snakes and that this is a "down and dirty business".
Educate yourself then you can step into the grass without worrying about the snakes.

Please give us an example of a fighter that you know that has been screwed.

..Its very easy to make mistakes..-lose money-...in ANY business when you dont have experience in it..boxing is a business..and like in any business, theres honest people,,and people that are not....everybodys trying to get the best deal they can..nothing wrong with that..but...buyer beware BEFORE signing anything (a contract.)..dont completely understand it?..dont sign it..and get help from a pro...that does..pretty common sense....also i think that if a fighter gets screwed from a promoter..i think -THAT- says Alot about the fighters manager!..nowadays you wouldnt sign a freaking aplication letter for a new credit card without reading it over carefully!..let alone a boxing contract where many thousands of $ are involved....just my POV....:bbb

Educate myself........ that's precious. If you spoke to Spitzer he would tell you that I know exactly how to pound out a proper deal for myself.

Talk to 'Boom Boom' Johnson, he'll tell you what he thinks of promoters and how he was played.
