Talk of Paulie Malignaggi vs Frankie Gavin on Twitter

So Paulie put's down the thought of a fight with Thurman a while back as it doesn't make $$$$ sense, but it does with Frankie???

That doesn't add up... and before anyone says it's because "Paulie's afraid of Thurman" think again as it's quite clear he'll go in with whoever.

 

Paulie still has more than enough left to beat Gavin. Frankie is massively overrated.

 

Who is the softer touch of the two? That's how I think Paulie is looking at it.

 

Hearn wants to make Brook-Paulie badly he knows he doesn't offer an offensive threat and appears to be very popular in the UK. If Pauline picks up the ebu in England against Gavin then he.can make the fight. If Gavin wins he can then feed Gavin to brook instead.

 

Rios and Maidana both Kill Gavin, he isn't at that level.

 

I'm inclined to agree.

Gavin hasn't shown me he can deal with operators of that level at all.

 

Yeah that pretty much seem's the jist of it.

Paulie wins, he goes in with Brook on the basis that he's got the name, world level baggage and shouldn't cause Kell too much trouble.

Frankie wins, he's picked up a decent scalp, his profile's been raised and it sets up a domestic world title fight between two Matchroom fighters.

Win win.

 

Malinaggi knows he is well past his best so if offered good dough he would properly take fight as even past his best he will know he should best Gavin in what would be the most feather fisted WW battle ever. Gavin came up short against Bundy who got badly outclassed in or around world class level with Thurman. Hearn has Gavin to feed him to Sell sooner or later

 

This fight has got stinker written all over it!

Gavin needs to drop down a weight class, he looks tiny in there.

 

I'm talking about fighters who share their style, not them in particular. :good

 

will be a snooze fest but a good fight for Frankie and a name I could see him beating with the mathcroom judges on hand.

 

Please God Frankie never fights the likes of Rios, Maidana or Thurman. Ouch. Just different weight classes that's all.

Who took Andy Lee down to light Middle? Could they help Frankie?
