I'm afraid you're letting nostalgia and time play tricks on your mind coming out with that. For a start, I don't believe that the FW division of ten odd years ago was stronger than ANY division of the last 25 years, it's debateable that it was the strongest period for the division itself in 25 years - that's closer to the truth.

A prime Burns of a few years ago against a prime Harrison of a decade ago would win I think.

David Brophy is improving and getting great experience sparring Paul Smith for over 3 weeks for his fight
Simmonds hopefully should get a big title shot this year
Connor Law looks one for the future

All good lads the only thing hampering them is a lack of managerial and promotional clout , fighting 1 or 2 times a year is killing theese guys progression and rankings when english guys are fighting 5,6,7 times a year

Naz got offered 1m and home advantage to fight Scott in Sheffield, refused, he also refused to fight Chacon so Scott did and beat him. Moralas and Barrerra are boxing greats and both dodged Scott, as they did Marquez and Pacman for years. Remember back then in an interview Pac said they were avoiding fighting him and Scott Harrison as we are both better than them. Lets face it Scott fought them it would have been 100% fully firing version of him that turned up like the version in Mendina 2 were he pulvarised an all time great in an 11 round hammering

Mate you need to lay off the cider , quoting any of they names , this is the same scott that dodged nicky cook lol , Naz Barrera Marquez all the names are in a different league to scott , Another thing any talk of any future fights for scott needs to stop pronto as he will never box in a professional capacity again , White collar could maybe keep him active

Ricky couldn't stop Lepelly! No disrespect to that boy he had a decent record on paper, but he was brought in as a confidence booster, so Ricky could batter him. It never happened!

As for Walsh he's a switch-hitter who used his excellent speed and movement against Scott. But come on, when was the last time Burns was on his toes moving about popping out the jab. Ricky's been flatfooted for a while now. Burns also has been nowhere near as good defensively on the ropes as he used to be and he's took more punishment in his last few fights than all his other fights put together because of it.
I would pick Scott to win in their respective primes and even now at this stage.

TBH I think we're both clinging on to the past here, Billy. I'll admit.
I saw Ricky on ringside last night and I can only wish him well.
