Bit of a stupid thing to get involved in if you have other options. Never thought he looked anything impressive as a boxer tbh.
Wow someone from the past who remembers something! Haha Most of these posters were not even around when Miranda was the hype he was.... Yeah, call it a 6th Sense.... :think
I didn't realize he snapped his losing streak last year: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=37138&cat=boxer Of course it required going home to Colombia to pick on an 0-4 tomato can on some obscure non-televised card in a 6-rounder. :conf He was looking pretty done there in that last skid (Chilemba, Bellew, Alvarez, Dorticos) after his last spell of success in 2011 when he rebounded from the Bute loss with some halfway decent results in shutting out Saunders and knocking out Kariuki - and was on his way to beating Despaigne when he got disqualified.
Haha... It took me two tries. I didn't realize it was about a year since my last login. Yes, I was all about and all knowing about Miranda. My boxing interest has never been more than a casual fan since his demise.
Your last post was in the Stevenson vs. Cloud (for which Eleider Alvarez vs. Edison Miranda was chief support) RBR in September '13. :yep It must have slipped by me then, because this would've been shocking to read:
True true... He became a true ass and quit trying long ago in boxing. I truly feel if he had the heart towards the sport like he had very early on (prior to Pavlik) he could have been a champ. He got caught up with the wrong crowd early on and this news doesn't surprise me at all. He may have never been great, but he could have been much better than he turned out to be. It is a rough sport. I respect these p4p top fighters more than any other sport.
Edison was never that good crude good power with a glass chin. I'm really not that surprised to hear about this.
