On the night of the fight, Rios weighed 161 pounds to Alvarado's 158. Is the only source I found. Maidana weighed in at 161 against Floyd. But seriously has Alvarado had one win at 147? You know I credited rios heavily anyways, he looked great, but I want to see at least another fight with a credible opponent to jump on that wagon.
ok since you trying i will entertain this rios has one hell of a chin and since maidana will come forward this is perfect for rios trust me i know what i am talking about maidana has shown that he can not takee the best shots khan, lopez, shot morales rios hits harder then them and his body shots are ****ing bad rios win late on against maidana remember how ortiz did well with him he just lacked heart and a chin
You always seem to know what you're talking about constable. I will take your word for it. I'm sure you're not picking Rios since he fought Pac. If Pac fought Maidana, and Floyd fought Rios, I'm sure you will still pick Rios to win. Good stuff like usual bruh.
Maybe I used poor wording, fine impossible to knock out. Chaves took all of Thurman's power quite well, although he didn't seem to like Rios' body shots and went into survival mode after the first 3 or 4 rounds and made it the mess it turned into.
Survival mode? Dude Chaves was schooling Rios, I had him clearly up in that fight, but then again Rios was clearly not in shape. Thurman on the other hand stopped Chaves and actually hurt him bad. He wasnt going in survival mode, he was trying to box from the outside where Rios struggles. When Rios got in he was hitting him in the back, and coming in with his head, go look at Chaves backa fter the fight. Chaves was just as dirty though.
Rios would win, as said already.. Maidana almost got beat by shot Morales, and Karass troubled him bad.
Chaves was willing to trade with Rios early in the fight and that wasn't working out too well, so he started holding Rios' arms and spinning and headbutting and every other thing he could do and got DQ'd for it, he fought a dirty fight to keep Rios off of him. Thurman even said Chaves is a dirty fighter.
The Maidana that fought Khan is a completely different fighter and athlete at this point. New & different fighter since Roberto Garcia took over...
Chaves was doing all that because he knew he could school Rios on the otuside. Rios is a terrible outside fighter. Rios was dirty as hell too, but the reason he was fighting on the otuside wasnt because Rios really hurt him, it was because that's his weakness. I didn't see Chaves stunned once. Maybe the shots to Chaves's back hurt him, I mean did you see his back after the fight, it was red as hell.
I do think that if they rematched it would be a completely different fight, might even favor rios in that one.
