but according to Pacquiao's advisor, whatever issues Mayweather voiced about the networks, was resolved quickly as it was apparently minor. So, i wonder what hbo and showtime are fighting about, i think it's a done deal..Floyd is just playing...

 

You almost make it sound like Pac is featherfisted or something. So, what was the deciding factor?....weight draining his opponents?

 

I agree on the most part about the 1 punch knockout. I think he could knock a guy out with a perfect straight left hand, though. We saw it with Hatton, and to an extent, Chris Algieri.

 

I was worried about Algieri too.

I figured if Pac couldn't beat Algieri, and convincingly, he may not have enough left in him anymore.

Instead, he proved that he's still explosive, still throws in combination, still has the footwork, and still has better defense than given credit for, ESPECIALLY considering he's an undersized southpaw who fights aggressively.

That's actually an amazing feat.

 

It's hard to KO a guy when they're moving away.

He didn't KO Bradley who came right at him, but Bradley has good aggressive defense, and he's proved that he's forged out of steel.

Other than that, he's fought Margarito, Clottey, and Rios.

How many times have those guys been knocked out?

Once? And how many shots did Mosley have to land on Margarito?

How many shots did Mosley land on Mayweather before Mayweather was out on his feet?

 

It's sad to me that people are blaming tape for Pacquiao's power.


This year, Pacquiao was on some science show were he hit a bag without any gloves to calculate his power. The power, without gloves, was equivalent to a shotgun going off. I don't think tape makes that much of a difference. Smh. Many officials have watched Pacquiao wrap his hands due to complains on the way he does it... none found any problem with it. Simply because, there isn't.

All this arguing is annoying. :roll: I'm fine with reading arguments between the two fighters, but hearing "Floyd schools Manny", "Manny destroys Floyd", "Pacquiao has no power", "Floyd scared", and "Arum is stopping the fight" is tiresome.

When/if the fight is announced, can we actually start having ****ytical breakdowns not based on emotion or bias? Please :thumbsup

 

Why in the hell would I not want the fight to happen? This fight is close to being a done deal yet you continue to blame everything on PBF. The networks are still working out the details.
