No IMAO. What is his call to fame a close win against Froch? Come on there should be some standards for the HOF even after the inclusion of Gatti (RIP).

    yeah, i'm thinking this too
'warriors' can capture the imagination, and gatti's reputation became legendary (even though he would never have qualified purely on ability)
both froch and Kessler, who's careers have some parallels, were never the man at SMW. but they sure did give us some great memories
have to draw the line somewhere

Froch has wins against Pascal and Bute when they were undefeated, win against Kesler and still capable Taylor and then his memorable fights with Groves. In my mind he is a HOF .

I really like Kessler. He's an all-time Danish sporting legend, but not quite in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

Yes, I think Froch will make it, for having a few good fights in America, his wins, resume and the Wembley fight.

I agree that froch pips Kessler, but bute was nothing more than a homespun paper champ who got destroyed the first time he stepped up
groves doesn't rate if he disappears into international obscurity after those two fights

I don't think so. It's a very easy decision IMO.

He picked up a belt and unified and made a defense.

He got beat by the best 3 fighters he fought (Calzaghe, Ward, Froch)

All 3 of those guys will probably get in. That is a lot for such a new division.

he also beat froch, which negates what you said to some extent (but loses ground a little to him based on posts above)

    ward and calzaghe, yes
    froch and Kessler.....debatable

I know, but I think Froch has the better resume at this point and is a titleholder.

I agree that froch pips Kessler for resume, but neither have ever been the best at SMW
having a belt shouldn't have anything to do with getting into the HOF, because every man and his dog has one
