If someone from the Boxa Circus had checked the tension on the ropes pre fight then maybe The Fraud wouldn't have found himself trapped like a 10yr old kid on a jumping castle. To me it looked like Garth was much more desperate for the win and he came away with a memorable KO as a result. {no luck involved] :good Joshua Clottey
I'm a massive 'Mundine' man!... But you my friend... Are tripping *****! Wood was a punchers chance, and he got that chance. Simple.
I've heard some ridiculous excuses for poor performances over the years, like, "I was weight drained" and "I hit him on the soft part of the skull"... This is up there with them! A *******!
There are 2 categorys here 1 the Mundine haters that refuse to see it and 2 the ones who don't know enough about boxing to be able to see it. You say your a Mundine fan so your in category 2 [the one you don't want to be in] Go to youtube Mundine knocked out by Garth Woods 2.11 minute video. At 1.30 and 1.39 is the frontal view. You can see Woods head down around Mundines left elbow then he quickly jerks his head to the left and smashes into Mundines jaw. Mundine reels away to his right because right there he is unconsious. The rear view at 1.50 is probably better. I know a few guys that are only fleeting boxing fans that can see it.
It's the "phamtom" headbutt, that Mundine didn't even know happened! Mundine is many things. 2 x WBA, 1 X IBO boxing world champion. Super League premiership winner, greatest athlete Australia has ever seen. But he is not that great, that even when he is "unconsious", he able to look clearly awake! You need to tell Mundine about this "headbutt", and hope he doesn't act like Danny Green when his re****ed fans told him he was "weight drained "...
