Patrick Teixeira is a 5'11 25 year old Light Middleweight with a 26-0 22 KO's record. Born in Sombrio, Santa Catarina, Brazil and fighting out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Oscar De La Hoya is really excited about his newest acquisition to add to his growing roster of potentially not sucky Brazilian fighters, he's also recently signed incredibly talented Olympian Yamaguchi Falcao as well as lightweight prospect Everton Lopes. Let's hope he'll push Patrick fairly quick and get him on some FS1 undercards against some non cab drivers and we can see just how good this kid is. Because his KO's are pretty damn scary especially the Chavez and Fraga knockouts, they're quite jaw dropping, pun intented. He's already won the WBC Youth Intercontinental LMW Title, and the WBA Fedecentro MW Title so far. Hopefully he'll be able to maintain power when he steps up, and give Brazil its first legit star since Acelino Freitas. In 2013 he fought at Friday Night Fights against the durable Marcus Willis (who was coming with a win against the decent James de La Rosa). It was a big step up in competion for him, Patrick fought well and hurt Willis a lot during the fight, so his power is real. He needs to work on his stamina and defense. I don´t know if he will ever be champion material. Right now i see him as good prospect.

    Looks pretty good.

Good jab, decent footwork. A bit wild and stiff at times though.

Damn I missed that fight, but that might have something to do with Sergio Mora and Proksa as the headliner:scaredas: Not exactly must see TV.

Is Curtis Stevens a bridge to far for Teixiera?:think Will Brazilian glass be strewn from one side of the ring to the other, or can he pull it off?

Once I saw Stevens with David Jackson, and how nervous Teixeira looked I knew it was a wrap. I've said thsi before, every puncher needs to go to John David Jackson. Guys like Khabib, and Algieri are not suited for his style, but guys like Wilder would flourish under him.

I was back and forth for a little while, I think Teixeira has skills, but the fact that he was rocked by Mouton, and couldn't KO Veron who old ass Popo Freitas KO'd in 3 sealed the deal for me.

Then when I heard he was with JDJ any remaining doubt....left my mind.
