Sky MUST employ a new commentator

    Unless I'm in a pub, I'm having to watch every fight on mute. Don't know where they found this guy, don't care, but wish he'd go back. The man realises he's clueless so makes up for it by trying to sound like an Eastend hardman.

    ''THEY'RE 'AVING A TEAR UP''! ''HE'S NO MUG''! and ''HE'S BANGED HIM OUT''! make up the majority of his ''commentary''. The glee he takes in seeing foreign journeyman lads get hurt is sickening too.

    Ian Darke must laugh at this clown, Harry Carpenter would turn in his grave. Even John Rawling is outstanding by comparison.

    The guy who shouts and blusters alongside the very good if slightly ageing Jim Watt. Nick Halling I think his name is. Cold dog sick poured into the ears.

    mate Nick is a very hard working man who goes from gym to gym to get information ect on boxers, I think he's a very fair honest judge of a fight which is refreshing has most are bigging up the home fighter at every chance.
    So I can't agree with you mate:good

    I have never criticised the sky coverage before now, but I have to say I was very annoyed at the way he kept sniping on at John Ryder this weekend past.
    It wasnt even that Ryder was all that bad either. ok maybe he shoild have been pressing Godoy a bit more, but he was winning every round against a capable opponent. Round after round, Halling? kept bleating on about how poor Ryder was..never letting up. Very very insulting commentary.

    Nobody said he was unfair or dishonest. He is juat an awful commentator.

    Don't even notice Halling. Jim Watt needs to be replaced, not just because he sounds like an 85 year old smack head, he also cannot judge a fight. Fresh blood required, maybe someone who people younger than 40 have seen box...

    The guy who calls the international fights/reports on Ringside is far better than Halling. Moore/Oliver/Smith would be a vast improvement over Watt.

    He's ****ing useless and can't tell if a punch is blocked.

    He also rolls out cliche after cliche. In the Burns vs Beltran fight I think he reminded us that Beltran was Pacquiaos sparring partner about 20 times.

    He's absolutely useless and makes sky's great coverage seem **** poor.

    They need to get Iain Darke back ASAP.

    i would love to see Eubank sr as a commentator but then i dont think SKY are too keen on that idea after SR's comments on the Mike Tyson **** case :lol:
