Hailing comes up with a storyline about a fight and repeats it throughout the fight. so he decided Ryder was poor in that fight so kept banging on about it. one advantage box nation has is better commentary. the Welsh fella is particularly good Sky should get him really. Richie Woodhall would be good on sky as well. McCrory needs to go.

I think Sky need to add a third man to the regular duo. Watt and Halling need a contrary opinion, they've worked together for so long they have one opinion.

Halling is a poor commentator and repeats himself constantly with cliches.

Ian Darke was a massive loss for me on SKY he's now on BT doing football commentary real waste for the Boxing fan.

You made the weight and made great points too. Ian Darke is a wonderful commentator, intelligent, insightful, and knows when to just sit and say nothing. The Anti-Halling.

All that is lovely to hear and god loves a trier, but that doesn't make him a good commentator Billy. He's trying too hard, wants to make a statement everytime.

Why on earth nobody in TV has got Mike Costello doing the lead commentary is beyond me. I've actually listened to fights on 5live instead of watching them. The guy is brilliant. Unless he's a BBC for life type guy I don't understand why Sky haven't used him.

Agree and i think Ed is a better presenter than Smith, also think Watt should go to. McCrory is better than him commentating on a fight but the best at that is Paul Smith. In saying that they always use ex fighters, why not try top coaches like Brendan Ingle, Adam Booth, Peter Harrison type figures

Ed Robinson is very knowledgeable for sure.

The best combination on SKY imo was Ian Darke commentating and Paul Dempsey in the studio presenting. The panel discussions were more lively as Dempsey would ask the more pressing questions that Adam Smith just doesn't.

Be it athletics or boxing, Costello is excellent.
