    why do a lot o people diss larry holmes? I mean the guy was one tough SOB with great skills , heart and had a lot of entertaining fights to his name. Isn't that what should make a fighter respected and liked?

    Yeah he's a great fighter, but also a bit iof a ******.

    Nobody doubts his talent though.

    I like larry, one of my favourite heavyweights. You cant deny his talent, so it must be what he says.

    Respect and being liked comes from not only how you carry yourself in the ring, but outside it also. He may have been a great HW, but outside the ring, especially post-career he's been a disrespectful bitter ****.
