What's with all this Groves being Cobra'd nonsense?

It reminds me of the "You've been Tangoed" ads in the 90s.

Groves hasn't been the same since the Froch fight- which had a spectatcular ending but was rather cagey and close looking back at it.

 

I think Groves can come back and I think Carl would like to see him come back well for selfish legacy enhancing reasons.

That said Groves has been far from impressive since that devastating loss and should really pick up the phone to Adam Booth to get his mojo back and beat Average Anthony Dirrell.

 

Froch is a crafty ******. Groves has always looked a bit fragile. People claiming the rebrasse and doug fight as groves looking past his best, I'd go as far to say he didnt look his best for the second froch fight either. Explosiveness wasnt nearly as good as the first fight.

Who's doing groves s&c now anyway? I m sure they brought someone in for the second froch fight. And yet groves looked his best in the first one when he basically trained himself for a bit before teaming up with paddy.

Groves will beat degale again. Will always be a close fight but people getting the wool pulled over their eyes a bit. Degales certainly starting to hit form and groves appears to be losing speed. But you ve got to remember eddie hearns a smart match-maker. Hes not bringing over guys that are dangerous for degale. Regardless of what he says or what their record is. My prediction groves by ko.

Groves was absolutely rotten against Douglin, needs a rest and to get back to Booth for his next fight.

Its worrying that people like Solaris are allowed outside on their own.

Groves gets stopped by Froch a second time. Standard procedure is to take a rebuilding fight or two after a loss like that.

Groves follows the standard procedure and folks are getting on his case. Let's wait and see him in a properly live bout again and then judge.

 

Needs to go back to the dark lord

 

Groves has definitely lost some confidence, but he is still the same fighter he was before but he needs to lose this idea of boxing with a plan because going out from round 1 throwing his big shots are his game just needs to do more fitness work. Couple of KO wins and he'll be fine too.

Some of the things Groves comes out with now doesn't help. I mean, he talked a lot before the first fight but backed it up with that predicted right hand. Then he got cobra'd and still maintains he can beat Carl. Maybe he can but he's had 16/17 rounds with him to do it and it hasn't happened for him.
