Let's say Wilder and his team took the alleged $10 million offer to fight Povetkin for his first voluntary defense. Who would win?

If Povetkin can't KO, he loses on UD. There's no way he can win on points when the reach difference is 20 cm. The difference between Stiverne and Wilder was around 15cm and see how it affected the fight. These 1.95cm/6'6''+ freaks needs their own division.

Povetkin vs Pulev/Stiverne/Jennings/Perez would be more entertaining fights to watch. Wilder's opponent should be Fury.

Povetkin is much more skilled than Stiverne and the Russians timing and experience would go a long way in offsetting Wilder's reach. AP was doing well getting inside against Klitschko, who's much more skilled than Wilder, but Klitschko would tie Povetkin up, walk him back or slam him down, Wilder doesn't have the experience to handle Povetkin like that.

Well for one Povetkin doesn't gas as soon as the bell goes, so Wilder would have his hands full.

The Stiverne fight answered a lot of questions for me, maybe that's because of how little we had been able to ****yze Wilder due to all his quick fights

Povetkin is a guy whose vulnerability to a right hand and whose ability to take a punch ive questioned before and his left eye shows damage in fights

Povetkin did go 12 with Wlad but Wlad whenever he opened up put him on the deck but seemed to carry him to the final bell

I think Wilder is capable of putting him away and early

But due to experience and his incredible run since the Klitschko embarrassment I cant pick against him unless its a rematch with Wlad

Boxed Ears, Oh are you referring to the same stiff that knocked Wilder down with a jab using 18 oz gloves and headgear?

Oh yeah the good old days when boxing was real and great fighters like Igor Vysotsky didn't fight in the pros along with other fighters from theEastern Bloc who probably would have been champions. Are you saying Wepner would beat Klitschko or Povetkin?

    Well said Mister E :good

Boxers were much more skilled back then too. They had to hone their skills fighting their foes in greyscale instead of high color, HD resolution, so their attacks and holes in their defence were that much harder to detect. Guys like Coopman and Dunn would have schooled them pretenders if they fought today.

Povetkin smashes glass all over the ring.

On a grey scale I weigh about 203lbs and on a full color scale I suddenly weigh 216. That's also the reason why heavyweights at the time weighed in so much lighter. People that believe some of them really came in under 200lbs DKSAB :bart

I see Povetkin winning. Wilder doesn't do too well against pressure, and Povetkin can cut off the ring, unlike Stiverne.

Povetkin should work on his head movement, to avoid Wilder's right hand.

Oh yeah, if you think Klit clinches, you must hate watching old ALi fights... esp ALI/Frazier II where there was more grinding and close quarters grabbing than an entire episode of Dancing with the Stars.

As far David "Diver" Haye is concerned, it's very difficult to KO or knockdown an opponent who runs like a girl all night in the spirit of self-preservation.

And yes, I see Povetkin destroying Wilder unless Wilder jabs and runs.
