Im certainly not bothered if thats the last we see of him on Sky. He is nothing special, barely above a domestic level fighter and his lack of power limits where he can go in his career.

The fact that he now cant take a punch off a welterweight (a welterweight who was practically retired) is yet more evidence for what ive believed for a long time that he is not of sufficient quality to be on Sky.

Maybe some of you disagree? Maybe you want to see Brian "The Lion" back on sky?

But seeing him do the funny dance in the 1st round of a fight with a retired welterweight was more than enough for me :hi:

I suspect that he may be jettisoned by Hearn if he doesn't show signs of getting anywhere quickly- a bit like the Stalker situation.

proud owner of a Lonsdale belt, fought for a world title against excellent champion
Now talks us all through your boxing achievements, people like you make me sick, go spend 12 months in a gym eat, train, sleep ect like a pro that alone would break you that's before you've even took a punch:patsch:patsch:nono:nono
If you got hit the way he did you'd be sleeping not doing a funny dance, please grow up and act like a man

Got a lot of respect for u billy and enjoy your posts however the argument ur using that the op has never fought is abit old hat mate
I respect all boxers but you have to judge them on there performance as u do with anyone in anytype of work and rose last night was flawed at best there is a wealth of up and coming boxers competing at domestic/euro/world level and only so many dates available on sky for them to showcase there skills and get paid for doing so and rose on last nights performance does not justify showcasing his skills on sky until he has worked his way up

I've never rated rose he has made the best of his talents winning a Lonsdale belt and challenging for a world title but let's be honest he's never been the best at 154 in Britain Liam smith and Williams beat him all day long

Rose looked exactly like Khan does prior to getting knocked out, both are deluded when they get stopped and reckon they could continue, Rose was on the verge of getting KOd.

I agree Billy, He's a good fighter and just because he is not world level he shouldn't be given any coverage? He's a true pro and seems to be a top bloke, lack of respect from some people is appalling when they do not know what a fighter goes through just to turn up for each and every fight. I hope to see more of him, its always nice to see good things happen to good people and its a shame how last night went.

Firstly it was a premature stoppage, only by a few seconds or couple of punches but that said Rose's eyes were glazed and he was all over the place..

I understand Rose was upset but the way he reacted by storming off, kicking things, flipping tables was just embarrassing. Then he had the nerve to try and suggest Carson Jones was in as much trouble as he was.

I watched the replay in slow motion like most of you and for a few seconds after the stoppage he didn't know what day of the week it was. Sad to say but Rose got stopped by a semi retired welterweight.

I have little sympathy for Rose, none for Hearn and Sky were ridiculous, banging on about the early stoppage after some of the shocking home town decisions we've seen (stoppages or points) that they have tried to justify in the past.

As for Rose on Sky topping a bill again then no, this reminds me so much of the way Paul McCloskey went.

Totally agree, thought it was premature but Rose with all the advantages weight, height reach and hometown advantage threw all that out of the window.

Jones was always going to go for broke from the start and draw Rose in imo.
