1 day after the wbc mandated that he give Vitaly a rematch he retired. Lewis was trying to secure a second Tyson fight at the same time.

Lewis has nothing on Wlad's longevity and title reign.
Wlad's resume will go up big time 5 years after his retirement.

they appear to be the same age, 37/38 at the moment of defending titles, but with lewis lineal for longer.

nothing is not the word, you mean the advantage .

wlad has the weaker opposition of course.

Why is it that no one wants to hold Lewis' losses against him, its the perception that Rahman was legit, but was he really? He'd been KO by Maskaev and Tua, he had a KO win over Sanders in 7 but he stopped Lewis in 5.

As far as McCall goes name one truly great win he had before KOing Lewis, he had 5 losses going into the Lewis match including Buster Douglas who outboxed him.

Rahman and McCall were basically overrated bums, not much better than Sanders or Brewster.

You mean like he tried/avenged his loss against Corrie Sanders and the boss.

Advantage is a fair word :good
Wlad already fought Pulev and Povetkin, if he fights Wilder and Fury and they do well after he retires then it will enhance his resume, no questions about it.

agenda. Lewis didnt have a great chin and im his biggest fan. Wladimir is definitely capable of sending lewis too sleep at anytime and vice versa.

:nod Big fan of both and either could go at anytime, however it took a hell of a lot to keep Wlad down when all it took for Lewis was 1 shot.

I guess figuring out Vitali after round 3, timing Vitali, and opening 3 massive cuts on the same exact part of Vitali's face is a lucky win.

Even though you just proved to us all that hitting a man with the same exact punch in the same exact place enough times to open cuts that required 60 stitches to close is luck answer me this. Who has Wlad beaten in a fair fight who's name holds any merit whatsoever other than Haye and Chambers? Povetkin doesn't count since that whole fight was a massive **** show with illegal clinches and wrestling slams that the ref ruled as knockdowns.

Lewis himself could be a dirty fighter. Pushing the left glove into his opponents face as he teed off with his right. Holding the back of the opponents head and unleashing hooks and vicious uppercuts. You dont become the best without having a nasty streak or having tricks to use for your advantage. holyfield, hopkins, ward headbutts etc.
duran lowblowed the **** out of buchanan.
Wlad didnt learn how to fight inside, thats quite shocking really as he mastered the jab, left hook off the jab, right hand, distancing. etc

No. Anyone that understands boxing knows that speed and defense are paramount and that one of these fighters has a distinctive advantage.

Why not? He will have 19 title defenses to LL's 14.

5 more title defenses and the first HW champ to hold all the belts at one time.

    Legendary.

Yeah, that is pretty shocking especially since Emmanuel Steward trained him.
