Hotel standards in Berlin are worse. I was last year in a 3* Hotel. The bath was outside of the room and Prostitutes were working in the other rooms all night...

For the biggest fight of his life, I would expect him or one of his team to make suitable hotel arrangements. come up with your spec (ie: bath, sauna, gym, double bed, quite location etc) and pay the going rate for something which is fit for purpose.
