He let the occassion get to his head and believe he could take GGG's power

In the first few rounds murray started to mock GGG as if to say ''is that all you got'' and then got overconfident because at that stage GGG was only toying with him

it was British bravado and stupidity

11th round. Murray wasn't thinking, he was on autopilot

none of the above, anybody who has ever boxed will tell you its because lateral movement is much easier from that stance because of better balance, murray was about to try and move his head

    :good
Punches hurt even if blocked, so I believe he tried to move and dodge, maybe get out of there, instead of keep on blocking and taking punishment.

In his dazed confusion, he held his R up 3/4 as if expecting something to come from GGG's L, up or down.
He also seems to be leaning slightly that direction as if to take some off the thudd off a L hook.

Very common, but when your eyes are closed, and your opponent is in for the kill, focused and seeing everything, it's a fight ender. :think

It's called back peddling trying to get out of the way in a hurry. Mind you he was already a little buzzed from a combination before he got caught with that big right. He probably thought he was out of danger where he was standing. Then Golovkin turned that right hand over

I must also note how effectively Golovkin took Murray's center of gravity with proper foot placement. Murray tried to cover up with a shoulder roll style cover up, but Golovkin had him off balance just by positioning himself in Murray's space taking away his balance. Also look at where Murray tried to get out of the way. Golovkin stood right on Murray's left side taking away a potential escape route especially if Murray was trying to utilize a shoulder roll. Right there he took a way out and rendered his block useless as illustrated by how Golovkin connected prior to the ko. The only way out was out the right, right into Golovkin's kill zone. That right hand was thrown almost like a hook. Full leverage and accuracy

When you get hit on the head for half hour non-stop that slows down thinking process.

You could see the hands coming down before that. Murray was having great difficulty in keeping his hands up because of the beating he took.
It wasn't "Hey, let me lower my hands" It was an involuntary reflex because he was exhausted.
