The bull**** about getting rounds was ridiculous. He hasn't improved even slightly. His jab is as **** as it ever was.

 

Price is stiff and robotic and slow. Any half decent heavy sparks him

 

Eddie Hearn got it right, Sky crew didn't look overly happy with what he said about Price but it was spot on.

It was not impressive, exciting or explosive, it was a plodding performance against an opponent AJ would have blasted out in a couple of rounds max.

 

I must admit I thought he could have taken him out way earlier to be honest. The guy was wide open for Prices favourite right straight down the middle but Price didn't pull the trigger and that was as early as the first couple of minutes. I don't think Price has gone gun shy or that he didn't see the opening because I did and have never boxed, I genuinely think he carried the guy for a few rounds before taking an opportunity that was there from the beginning. H won't learn anything from that fight and if this is the level of competition he is thinking of fighting then he isn't going to put right the wrongs of his career so far. Hope he can though because I don't mind him

 

Shouldn't Eddie be bigging Price up to sell the Joshua fight?

Eddie was right about Price i could not believe the BS sky where pulling trying to big Price up after that woeful performance

 

Wasn't a great/stand-out performance, but you can argue the case it was more so what he needed than a blow out win.

If he'd have put it on his opponent from the get go, he'd have took him out within 3 rounds. Just like he was doing to everyone before the Thompson fight.

Price needs to work on getting behind the jab, getting the rounds in, working on his stamina etc.

He got a good few rounds under his belt and knocked lumps out of his opponent to end matters.

As Hearn said though, on a big night of boxing where he could show case himself on a big platform - it wasn't explosive or exciting.

And does he think this is a good thing to do? Firstly he is meant to be building a fight - Price vs AJ. So if AJ didnt beat Price which at the moment there is a chance of happening, he is damaging AJ. And secondly contray to popular belief Price is a VERY popular fighter. Never mind AJ selling 8k or whatever in London on a card that has other local stars on e.g. Mitchell, Ryder etc. Price was selling 10k in the Echo practically on his own! With NO big names on the bill. Some of the fighters on those bills havent even fought since Price got beat to TT. Price is one of the few fighters whose interviews on IFL have more views than Hearns! Price has 147k followers on twitter and barely tweets thats huge compared to 90% of boxers. I dont think Fast Car did hinmself any favours slating Price.

I am not saying he's a world beater (could be), but he comes accross as a top fella, and I'd sooner back him than hate on him!!

Agreed very popular fighter and is open in his self criticism.He has stamina issues almost mental not physical imo if that makes sense as he could of quite easily won the rematch against TT who he had in trouble.

He made the right move in going to Germany to rebuild.

Why because at some point he will get a money fight against AJ or Fury.For Hearn he was correct in his view of his performance Saturday it looked laboured.Does it help build a fight with AJ it won't matter as Price is well supported as is AJ.
